Message restrictions

Mobile operators in China are actively blocking and filtering numerous keywords.
Adult, religious and especially political contents are strictly prohibited and will be blocked. Here are some known filtered keywords/categories:
 No restriction applies to notification or OTP (one-time password) traffic. Message content may be modified with signatures ( e.g 【Signature】) appended at the front or end of the message to ensure delivery.
Promotional/marketing related messages are also under heavy screening by local operators. Any promotional/marketing related messages towards China will have to go through the pre-registration procedures and is subjected to approval.
